Collaboration Chair

New Year's Resolution take two.....update my blog more often. In the spirit of this resolution, I am sharing photos of the collaboration chair that my friends and I made for the MMoCA Gallery Night last fall. Matthew Nafranowicz of The Straight Thread designed the chair. Zach McDole, also of The Straight Thread, built the beautiful walnut frame. I dyed and assembled the leather pieces and Kara Ginther worked her magic carving up the leather. Stop by The Straight Thread on Atwood Avenue if you want to take a gander at it.

MMoCA Gallery Night

I've been on a bit of a hiatus due to preparation for the Madison Museum of Contempory Art's (MMoCA) Gallery Night coming up this Friday. I'll be showing some of my leather creations along with work by Kara Ginther and the good people of The Straight Thread. Kara Ginther Leather

This is a collaboration project I worked on with Kara Ginther. She carved one of my bike tool bags for her friend. You can find more of her amazing work here!
